How to save fuel and money

Today I want to talk about cars, not because I'm a fan, but because I want to teach you how to save fuel. Infact, after house and food, the car is the most expensive item for a family.

Look at these 11 tips to save gasoline:

1) Avoid the fast departures. In this phase, the fuel consumption is very high.

2) Go to second gear. Pull the first gear for max. acceleration can be very costly when you refuel.

3) In the long shutdown switch off the engine. For example level crossing at the traffic lights.

4) On the highway it is preferable to maintain a constant speed. The uneven pace and the constant changes in speed, besides being dangerous, strongly pushing up consumption.

5) Close the red lights you should decelerate. Slowing down the stretch approaching the traffic lights you reach the intersection with the green signal thus avoiding an expensive visit. The stop-and-go city is a major cause of fuel consumption.

6) The weight of the car determines its fuel consumption. To reduce expenditure, leave unnecessary items at home. The rear rack is not a closet. Every pound less will save money.

7) The holder of a ski rack packs and penalize the aerodynamics of the car. Mount them only when you are using them and remove them later.

8) Keep open the windows or the sunroof in the sections outside the city also acts as a braking effect on the car, pushing up fuel consumption. Open them only for the time required for air change.

9) The car air conditioner is not free. Its use can increase 20% in consumption. Use it sparingly and only when necessary. Set the air conditioner at low temperatures, the consumption increases exponentially.

10) Good car maintenance is the key to reduce consumption of fuel. A few examples follow. A clogged air filter increases the demand of 10-15%. Similarly, the lubricating oil too old involves a greater effort to work the engine. The convergence of incorrect wheel increases the friction with the road. It's recommended to schedule an annual check-up by authorized workshops asking for complete control of the car. Modern cars are a combination of technology, only the trained eye and appropriate control equipment can help you keep an overview of the vehicle.

11) The tire pressure affects fuel economy and increased tire wear. Deflated tires have more friction with the asphalt by acting as a brake to the motion of the car. It 'a good idea to check the tire pressure at least every two weeks.
